This list of hot appetizers is composed of our MOST POPULAR, MOST REQUESTED, TRIED AND TRUE FAVORITES.  We always welcome new ideas and special requests with advance notice.  Please feel free to ask if you don’t see what you are looking for.  Customization is something we enjoy!

HOT APPETIZERS: bite size individual servings, served in a chafing pan

  • Pastry Crescents –  mini bacon & cream cheese pastry crescents with apricot glaze, cracked pepper, & bacon – $2.50 each
  • Pork Sliders – carolina pulled pork sliders with coleslaw garnish – $2.75 each
  • Franks in Puff Pastry –  made with white-wine spicy Dijon mustard – $1.00 each
  • Frittatas – mini asparagus-potato-parmesan frittatas – $2.00 each
  • Angus Sliders – mini Angus burger sliders (condiments can be on the burgers on separate) - $2.50 each

PASSED APPETIZERS:  almost any appetizer can be passed!   You get to decide if you want your bite-size portions  onto a platter to be served circulated amongst your mingling guests OR if you want them placed on individual, mini plates, each garnished separately…. and passed to your guests, who may take one each.  Both options work well and sometimes it’s good to know the logistics of your event to make the best decision about this choice – so just ask us for guidance if you’re not sure!  Passed appetizers always help your food portions stretch further, last longer.  It’s like portion control by our staff, in a less obvious manner.

Here are a few menu items that we always elect to pass to guests rather than place on a self-serve buffet:

  • homemade soup shotstwo ounce mini cups of homemade soup / call to discuss flavor options – $2.00 for most flavors – crab bisque and lobster bisque are $3.00 per serving
  • Southern shrimp & grits topped with green onions and shredded cheddar - $2.25 per serving
  • roasted garlic mashed potatoes served with a mini blue cheese wafer, crumbled bacon and chive garnish – $2.50 per serving

SPECIALTY HOT APPETIZERS :

The following hot hors d’oeuvres are best served immediately after being prepared.  Due to the nature of the cooking process on these menu items, we suggest cooking them at your event and serving them immediately after cooking is completed.  Should we prepare them here at Celebrations’ kitchen, the quality and freshness is depleted during the travel time to your location.  Thus often resulting in a less favorable, less crisp, end product.

  • mini pork & veggie egg rolls, deep fried and served with zesty orange dipping sauce $2.00 each
  • breaded and fried sliced green tomatoes served with buttermilk dipping sauce – $2.50 per serving
  • sweet potato french fries served with sweet horseradish sauce – $2.25 per serving
  • curly golden potato fries, with skin, dusted with sea salt and pepper, includes ketchup for dipping – $2.25 per serving
  • cheese stuffed ravioli, breaded and deep fried, served with warm marinara dipping sauce -$2.25 each
  • mini lollipop lamb chops, sauteed to order and served with an apple-mint dipping sauce – $4.25 each
  • cheesy macaroni, baked, cubed then breaded and deep fried – $2.25 per serving
  • vegetable samosas (Indian pastries) made with  potatoes, peas and cauliflower as well as light curry and coriander.  Served with both mango chutney and lemony cilantro dip – $2.95 each
  • ahi tuna bites, breaded with chopped fennel and pistachio then lightly pan seared.  Served in mini Asian spoons with soy-wasabi sauce – $3.75 each
  •  tostones made from sliced green plantains, deep fried and served with a mojo garlic sauce or a ketchup dipping sauce – $2.25 per serving
